I thought I was the only one to ever play Syndicate...

that game ruled the world.  Then Syndicate Wars' intro was the first good intro of a game ever.

Yes we need Syndicate.  Or would it work thru Bochs?  Or probably Linux...  or get a Jaguar emulator.  Anyway...

fun stuff

i played xbox-rott a few minutes. what i noticed in this short time is:

1) lacking bgm
2) no multiplayer
3) freezes on exit

It seems that the 'config controls' screen is locked, for good reason (so people don't futz stuff up). However, "Invert Axis" is missing. Myself and many more cannot play FPS without this option. Thanks for the nice port!

This is does not appear to be an open source project, nor does it actually exist on xbox (or ps2 or gamecube).

No definetly not an open source product.  Taken from the downloads page:

Xbox, GameCube or PlayStation 2.  Write to [email protected] only if you are a registered MS, Nintendo or Sony console developer.

Linux for PlayStation 2 developers, please do not request an evaluation version, you are not registered Sony developers and FMOD does not support Linux for PlayStation 2.

FMOD for XBox does not do midi:

http://www.fmod.org/fmodfeatures.html

Note the conspicuously unchecked MIDI box for XBox.

Lantus - I toiled over the same kind of task when I was porting Bochs, except that I needed to make low level MIDI calls.  If you just need to play MIDIs, I'd suggest looking at Timidity++ :

http://www.onicos.co...ity/whattm.html

That converts MIDI files into WAV format and is open source.  Ported to several diff. non-windows platforms, so should suit your purposes.

An inverted look option is DEFINATLY needed here!!!!!

Other than that, this port is smooth as possible, was easier to get up and running than the Dreamcast version too.

As for the musick, I don't miss it, though I wonder if it would be possible to add in a feature that would take advantage of the tracks you have ripped form your own CD's, this would be a good feature for DOOMX and Quake X as well, though unimportant...
