You're right, there's still no proof.  But I just got done talking to Lunar and he still is saying there will be a release around Midnight PST.  I don't know why he would still be saying he will release it if it's the big come down and wouldn't just say haha to us all.  I don't know what to think.  Can anyone explain why he'd still be saying there'll be a release soon???

I'm a tester and will post in this thread the minute I get sound on a game if the emu comes out.

Whether it was a hoax or not, in the real scheme of things doesn't matter.

What really matters is the awful precedent here.  Someone announced they were working voluntarily on an important project for the Xbox scene and was making significant progress...and all he got in return was over 50 pages of flaming and people yelling bullshit.  People went on and on about how if he didn't meet his deadline, then he's a lying piece of crap.

Who the hell would wants that kind of abuse?  Why would any developer want to take on any difficult project after that.  If they failed trying, then they'd be verbally abused and called a fake.

When it comes down to it, no one had any real clue if he had worked on it or not, but most of you judged him without any evidence.  Hope this shit doesn't continue or there won't be many tough projects tackeled by volunteer programmers in the future.

Well, it wasn't you personally as I couldn't narrow it down to just one person wink.gif  Nor was I attacking the person who you are (I've got no beef with you)

But, still...you don't know if you were right or wrong anyway.  Not meeting a programming deadline is almost to be expected...especially on a difficult project like this.  It's quite possible (and perhaps probable with a project as large as this one) that LunarEclipse didn't give him some enough time with that 4/20 deadline.

Personally...if I was him, after all this flaming, I wouldn't release the application unless it worked really f'ing good, because he'll just get flamed for doing a bad job otherwise and not meeting up to expectation.
