Some games i've tested:
Lunar EB - Works 100%
Lunar TSS - Works. There are lipsync problems with some in-game videos.
Mortal Kombat - Works 100%
Night Trap (SCD) - Works 100%. Haven't tested this through the disc swap point though.
Night Trap (32XCD) - Doesn't Work. Game says "This game requires the 32X adaptor to work"
Sewer Shark - Works 100%
Silpheed - Doesn't Work. Opening FMV plays fine, but game crashes after loading Level 01.
Sol-Feace - Doesn't Work. Crashes at Produced or Licenced By... Logo
SonicCD (USA) - Works. The FM effects (jumping, rings, explosions) are processed WAY too fast. Everything else runs great though.
SonicCD (JPN) - Works. Same FM effect problems as the USA version.
More to come...
Overall, I'm very impressed by the progress in this emu. I think i must've spent close to 2 hrs with Lunar TSS before testing the next game. Ahhh, nostalgia.... I do think that Hikaru needs to allow directory creation/browsing for SegaCD games, or *.iso recognition for the Game Launcher, so we dont have to scroll through 500 files to get to the data tracks. Also, some compatability and bugfixes here and there should make this a great addition to the Xbox arsenal. BTW - to those of you who have the screen off-center problem, GensX8f contains a fix for it. Grab it from here:
http://www.geocities...578/gensx8f.zipI've found that one of the easier ways to rip these games is through Roxio EasyCD. Just open it up and go to Disc > Disc Information. Select your cdrom drive and it will display the cd's tracks. Click on the data track and click Read Track to rip it to an .iso file. Do the same with the audio tracks, but specify the Save As Type section as *.mp3, and set the bitrate to whatever you want (I always rip it to 192khz). Its MUCH faster than having to do bin/cue, then Binchunk to iso/wav, then mp3 the wavs. When you mp3 the audio from Roxio you can simply select the name of the .iso file (erase the .iso extension of course) and hit Save to automatically name the mp3 files with the same name as the .iso file.
