I am just starting out with mame, and I am having no luck getting anything to run.
I have the mamex executable, and I also have a slightly older romset 0.59. I installed Mamex and it runs fine, and it lists the roms that are in the roms folder. I have only tried a few games so far, and nothing has run. I get various errors like missing files, memory error, prepare to crash. I have tried large roms and small roms, and nothing works. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Also what is the difference in the roms ? How do I know which ones will work and which ones require another emulator. What is this Finalburn emu I have heard about, is that for neo geo roms. Again, how do I know what is a mame rom, and what is not ?
I'm not a newbie to the xbox scene, just to mame, and I would appreciate some insight.
