xbox only has 64MB RAM, and i think 16MB has been used by the system, which leaves your 48MB, so you can only play games which has size less than that.

What else can I use to emulate arcade or Neo Geo except Mame? Maybe Mame-X just won't do the job right. (except for those very old games not worth playing)

I'm going to sleep now. Anything is welcome, e.a. a link to another thread or whatever, tips or whatever. I'll check later tomorrow.
TIA.

For the SF2/Capcom fighters, get FBA which plays them without breaking a sweat. Plus it plays the larger games like SFA 3 with no probs

I have the same problem with 'Memory Error - Prepare to crash :(' with Bubble Symphony and Bubble Memories.

With the main mame-x website down, I fear we might not see a fix to this.

You sure you have the right romset?  You might be missing a file or the like.  Get a utility like Romcenter, it'll check all your roms and make sure everything is there and named correctly.

Yes, the ROMS in question are complete sets, un-merged zips. They work fine on the Win32 version, but 'Memory Error - Prepare to crash :(' on Mame-X
