It will not work as you have downloaded the source code instead of the compiled version.
The version you need must have a default.xbe file in it to run and if you are using evox it will automatically detect this and add it to a menu (providing evox is setup right for you).

You can't build uae-x (like any other soft) from the source except if you have an XDK licence. It's like trying to
build a car with all the pieces but without any tools!

To compile the uae-x sources, you need a compiler. The compiler for the Xbox is provider with the XDK.
The XDK is copyrighted by MS, if you want one, buy one (or at least don't ask how to get one on
this forum).

There is a free compiler for the Xbox (OpenXDX) but it's still in early stage, check this website for more information.

I'm sure that you won't be able to compile uae-x with OpenXDK.

Hope this is a better answer!

yes.it was really a better answer.no bad feelings my friend.
but the one that confuses me is that the specific emulator doesn't need the default xbe archive to load.and all the tries i did drove me to failure.
so this is where i'm a bit confused.
sorry for bothering u.

As you said, no bas feelings wink.gif

I don't understand what do you mean by

QUOTE

How can the emulator be loaded without a default.xbe (or any other .xbe file)? For me, it's like try to
run a non-exe file on Windows.

Can you tell me which file are you trying to load from your dashboard?

well look at this one :
1) Introduction
---------------

UAE-X is a port of the famous Amiga emulator UAE to the X-Box platform.

2) License
----------

Like the original UAE, this code is under the G(ay)PL license. You'll need
the MS XBOX XDK to compile it.

3) Usage
--------

-Install to your modded Xbox HD.

-Put KICK13.ROM into UAE-X's roms/ folder (for emulating an amiga 500)
-Put KICK30.ROM into UAE-X's roms/ folder and rename default.uae.aga into
default.uae (for emulating an amiga 1200)

-Put some disks in UAE-X's disks/ folder.
Remember that for now, UAE-X doesn't support zipped adf files.

-Then, run UAE-X and enjoy the good old days!

and after...
1) Get UAE 0.8.22 from UAE's homepage.

2) Unpack UAE's source code.

3) Unpack UAE-X's sources over UAE's code.

4) Launch uaex.dsw, select the "XBox Release Build" and hit Build.

i already saw the sentence "Like the original UAE, this code is under the G(ay)PL license. You'll need
the MS XBOX XDK to compile it.

well what r u saying?
how the rest of people can load amiga's emu without xbe file?
have u this emu?

any way i'm stamatis from greece

also look at this one:
Hi:
Apologies for my dumb question but. I have EVOX in my Hardrive.
I copied the UAE-X to F:APPLICATIONS
and when I try to run the UAE-X I can't see the emulator in the list.
I tried to change the path in the default.uae to find the kick13.
I have no default.xbe . Should I create one? How is the way to run the Appl from my Harddrive?

Thanks
