Just to squash some theories
I too have a WORKING GBA
XBOX v1.0 NTSC
1. Download the emu from their site (just to make sure your getting the right one)
a. make sure to download the XBOX version and NOT the windows version (could be easy to do)
2. Patched the default.xbe with xbepatch.exe (drag and drop proggie, unless you like dos)
3. Must have a GBA BIOS (youll just have to get this)
4. Be sure to extract whatever roms you want to test (.gba format)
GBA has 2 main things (default.xbe and 'Media' folder)
Create a folder in your HDD called 'gba' wherever you have your apps, emus whatever
MediaFolder should have your .gba roms in it or fill it after you send it (your choice)
Send your PATCHED default.xbe to the gba folder
Send your gba.bios to the gba folder
now you have in gba folder ('Media' folder w/roms in .GBA format inside, default.xbe and gba.bios)
reboot and run GBA
***I have tested it with a MADCATZ controller (no memory pack), An original XBOX CONTROLLER (the big fat one) with and without a memory pack and it runs everytime.
Your version of EVOX does not matter (i use 1.8.3285 and GLITCH uses 1.8.2812)
Ive run it with IGR enabled and disabled and it runs fine
I think that covers my experience, hope it helps some of you, it is a nice emu.
Found some glitches already with the menu interface and certain games but overall this is the best emu for GBA on the XBOX.
Once you get this one to work, test exclusive titles (titles that can not be played on your SNES, NES, etc.) Thats what really counts.
