I have this exact same problem, it's not that the screen is black, its a complete loss of signal.  My screen goes blue, which is the default colour that my TV displays if there is no signal.  I know however that it's working because I can press the buttons and I hear sounds from the menus etc.   I've tried on both C & E drive and also on CDRW and I get the same problem

Can anyone help us please?

Ok this ones been sorted by phoenixdigital

Anyone experiencing this problem should use the MSDASHBOARD to switch to Normal TV mode rather than WIDESCREEN.  DGen will not work with WIDESCREEN mode.
