I thought MK 3 was one of the games that were going to be fixed when Mame X b7 becomes released. I mean that is why the creater of Mame X is asking everyone to send him an e-mail of what games don't work on Mame X b6.

Simply because someone sends E-mails to the developers does it mean that any particular game will be fixed.

MK3 is too big for available RAM.

No not possible nor realistic.

Virtual memory would abysmally drag down the emulators which need ALL of the ROMS and the CPU emulation routines in RAM.

This is why the Xbox did away with Virtual memory to begin with, to optimize performance.

If there was an easy tutorial up that walked you through how to upgrade your Xbox to 128MB of RAM without killing your Xbox, I would install the extra RAM on my Xbox. My friend who has pretty damn good sodering skills, installed my Openbox-PCBioxx in my Xbox in about 35 minutes manily because he sodered the two points on back of the mobo and chip first, then installs a header for the 8 points on the ribbon connecting those 8points to the mobo via a header, so I wouldn't mind asking him to soder on the extra RAM to my XBOX mobo. This extra RAM would be great for running those resource hungry arcade ROMS like MK3, UMK3, Killer Instinct 1 & 2, and there may be others that I don't know about yet. The question that I really want to know is where would you purchase an extra stick of RAM that is compatible with the Xbox?

Soldering in a bioxx is childs play when compared to adding four memory chips onto the motherboard. Someone purchased memory modules in bulk, although I don't recall who. Check out the IRC channel and perhaps someone can let you know who.
