That emulator sux ass.

I bet it's better than anything you could do.  What's to say CCS64 would be a perfect port?

Yes, Frodo did in deed get released and works very well for such an early release!

It's great to play all the old classics such as Bounty bob strikes back, in full screen on your TV smile.gif

I think I originally downloaded it from Xtreme-Xbox, but they have since made their downloads section "members only". It is however, free to register but I don't have time to at the moment, I think the download will still be in there.

That emulator sux ass. For example the sound is not perfect and the screens tretching is so horrible. It does not look like real C-64 screen.

I wish someone ported CCS64 instead. That would be the killer emu!

I hate to break it to you, but CCS64 is not open source, otherwise I would have used it for my emulator.  I emailed the author, he never responded to me about getting ahold of the source.  I cant port something if the source isnt available

I'm actually a CCS64 registered user. Yep, I paid 35$ for an emulator around '98. It was one of the best featured, most compatible emulators around at the time, hell even still is today.

That said, I'll try to email the author and request that he release the code to you for a closed port. I doubt he will, but it's worth a shot. He did mention on the site "CCS64 is a Commodore 64 Emulator for PC and also in the future other platforms." So, who knows? That would make my year if he did.

I just cant seem to get it to work.
It recognizes the roms (unzipped in t.64 and d.64-formats) but when i click on one I only get the old blue C64 Basic Screen, no games load. Ive tried 15-20 different ones.

Any ideas?

after you select the game it takes you to the blue c64 basic screen press the Lthumb to load the game. also check the info that came with the download for mapped keys, loading games true emulation and multi disk games.
cheers.

That's pretty funny actually. The first game I tried to load when I got this emu up and running was Space Taxi. Probably one of my favorite games on the C64. Unfortunately it was one of the very few I couldn't get to run. When I click the L1 analog button to load it up, it just says "Ready." and doesn't load it properly.

Anyone have any ideas on getting this game to run?

hello. when you are at the roms menu instead of pressing a to go to the c64 basic screen. press rthumb then press lthumb at the c64 basic. this is the true emulation option needed for some games to work. only problem with this method is it takes a long time to load the game almost like a real c64. but if you really want to play the game it's worth it. the loading can take so long sometimes this way that you may be tempted to exit the loading because it looks like it's not working. it usually is just very slow.
cheers.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it still doesn't work. It behaves the same way even when using true emulation. I load up the game by either pressing A or Right-Analog, then I press Left-Analog. It brings up the C64 Basic screen and says:
LOAD "*",8,1
READY.
RUN

READY.

That's exactly how it behaves. It never loads it properly. I guess I could try and look around and see if I can find another copy of this game. It is the standard size when compared to others. I was just curious if anyone else has seen this issue.
