QUOTE (12volts @ Sep 6 2002, 12:55 AM)
when i play mame6 ifor some reason every time i press the back button to insert a coin it shows something in the bottom of the screen that says (volume) and when i press left or right again it will give me (brightness) and other configeration stuff like that uhh.gif  is there a way to delete the saved configeration so i can start all over again because i reinstalled mame and it still has same problem  mad.gif

It may be because your analog sticks are not zeroing out properly during startup.

As a result MameX things that you are actually pressing BACK+ANALOG/Left, etc.

"Swirl" your analog sticks around before you start the Xbox and don't touch them again until you've made the adjustments you want.

i think i got a simaliar problem.

when you press the "white button a config screen comes up, there you change buttos and stuff. i accendetly used the white button for the volume and brightness.

so can't get up the config screen back up.

i removed mame and re-installed it. but still the same problem.

i thik that mame saves the config on c:\

or am i wrong?

I stand corrected, all of it is on E: under Tdata and Udata.

the dir name on my xbox is something ending with "dead" (fff0dead) erase if you screw up your mame config, to start from scratch.

I think we need a uninstaller if programs put files in those dir with strange name, there are space to spare.
