Openxdk Devkit

Hi.

Many people say that it is a lot too hard, to compile the OpenXDK  from CVS and then install Cygwin and so on. Well, if anyone wants it, I could make a package with Cygwin, OpenXDK from CVS, a project template with openxdkman's great pbKit (thank you openxdkman), some code examples, preconfigured Programmer's Notepad and lot of other goodies.

devkitPro is a great preconfigured toolchain for Nintendo DS, GBA, PSP and Gamecube.
All you need to get started with programming is copying a template folder to your hard drive. That's it. A lot easier as getting your OpenXDK to work.

But this OpenXDK package would be really huge. Since I host a lot of other projects at my webspace, I don't have much free space.

So, I would only make this, if someone really wants it. I hope this could help some people who are not familiar with command lines, makefiles ans so on. Maybe this could bring some new life into the Xbox-Modding-Scene.

Looks interesting. I might be interested. Im currently trying to port Aliens vs Predator Gold to the xbox. Would you have to use cygwin or can ms visual studio use it too?

As you can probably tell, im a bit of a noobie  biggrin.gif

I don't think the OpenXDK is mature enough to compile large games.
