Xig And Halo 2
« on: March 12, 2007, 06:07:00 AM »

I' ve been searching and reading and experimenting, but I can not get Halo 2 to launch with any debug bios I've run or xbdm.dll or any combination thereof.

I've read on a couple of other forums that smoe guys have gotten it to work, but I can't seem to duplicate those results.  XIG works fine in the dash and with other apps, but I am interested in taking shots of Halo 2 so I can show my friends the mods I've done.

I haven't seen any updates on this theme in the forums, can someone help me out?  I need a definite "no" it's not possible on a 1.6, or a "yes - use this bios and this version of xbdm".

That's what I'm looking for.  I've got an X3, so I can run a bfm or flash.

I think I've got the package.  Thansk for the quick reply.  I'm having trouble booting the bios correctly.  i have a feeling it's the rc4 key.  I know the eeprom 1.6 is correct.  I've read that the rc4 key is in the usual places, but I'm not sure if I have it.  All of the BFM bioses I've dowloaded have the same key.

Regardless, when I try to boot off of that bios, I get error code 13 (unable to load dash).  I've tried unlocking the hard drive.  No luck.  Any ideas.  I'm not knew to modding, but I'm knew to BFM bioses.  Any help is appreciated.

BTW, Drilus, I've lieterally been searching the web for 4-5 days, and I've read about 45 of your posts, you seem to be pretty dang knowledgable.

Thanks again.

If it matters, I've got an X3, 1.6.  I run avalaunch, but have evox on my c root.

I' about to drive myself crazy here..here's what I have setup.

F:/apps/debugmode/
boot.cfg config file that came with adoubeur
xbios.bin bios that came with aoudbeur
default.xbe file that came with adoubeur

Is that all I need?  When I boot the default.xbe it reboots than goes to error code 13 - unable to load dashboard.

Do I have to point the xbe to a dashboard somewhow?  there's no place in the boot.cfg file for that.  I believe it's the metoo pbl.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Note to self: if I ever get another xbox, get a 1.0-1.5.  Yeesh!

grr.gif So it's not possible then.  I figured that was the case.  I'm pretty sure I've tried running a debug 256 bios, and it still didn't work, but maybe I'll play around with that some, back to the drawing board.

Does anyone know if any dev teams are working on a bios compatible with a 1.6 (that clears up memory for H2)?  I doubt it, but it's worth a shot.

Sorry, I haven't heard of any. Everyone is focused on Xbox 360 right now.
