I have used a xecuter 3 with Yoshihiro Debug 256k Conexant and Focus version bios and it worked fine for all XDK launcher versions i had. Im sure any modchip will work just fine, with the proper Yoshihiro bios.

Oops the above was on a retail xbox. Some one else has put in a SmartXX in there debug kit with no problems.

Do you know which modchips work on Dev/Debug Kits???

Only way I can get my X3ce to work on my debug kit is to use a debug bios.
( I have actually managed to get Ind Bios to boot off it as well)

And the recovery disc also flashes the X3ce so it can be a safe guard to screwing the box up.
Would be nice to get X3 Live working.Needs bios hacking i think.(Any good tutes on this?)

Would really prefer to get SmartXXV3 working as well as it has more features.
Imagine what you could do with a 4Meg Bios..
Highly possible to have XBMC as a bios replacement I think.Something to work on.

These Debug Kits kick A!!

Installing a mod chip in a debug kit is useless, debug kits can do everything a modded retail can except play on xbox live. The only advantage of installing a mod chip would be a 29 wire mod to recover a corrupted bios on a dev or debug kit.

Thats quite funny actually...

If I take the modchip out then how am:-
1. Supposed to use my X3LCD???
2. Test new bioses (Can't exactly flash the tsop with anything , say 256k to 2 Meg Bioses)
3. Get HD/Lan leds WITHOUT too much effort.
4. etc etc etc

My other 3 modded retail boxes can NEVER do what THIS baby does.

May seem useless to you. blink.gif

To me it makes LOTS of sense. wink.gif
Thanks for your comments though.

End of transmission....

I think the original poster still has a retail xbox, running a softmod on a development xbox  ohmy.gif  uhh.gif  blink.gif  dry.gif  sleep.gif  sad.gif

But if you have a real development system just use the recovery app if you want to use the XDK launcher.  cool.gif

This has gone far enough. Asking for XDK files knowing you couldn't. Might want to take a look in your PM box.
