Okay, after recieving no help from my  last topic, I desiced to try to use XDI. So I ran it and everything went smooth, but when I try to run XIG on my xbox, I see the Xbox Image Grabber screen, then a Loading IND-BIOS screen, and then it goes black and I have to reset my box.

yeah, i run a softmod. i'm on a 1.4 xbox and the dash i've chosen is in e:\apps\xbmc\default.xbe
although i've tried it with unleashx, evox, avalaunch and hell, even the original dash... all just black screen after the Loading IND-BIOS.

The softmod dashboard location is the problem. Reinstall XDI using unleashX on the root of C and/or E. That will hopefully solve the problem.

Let me know there might be another fix if that doesn't work.

no luck there. tried with unleashx in the root of my c drive (it ran fine from there when run as an xbe) but still got the dead black screen. one question, the ind-bios.cfg. what's the deal with that? does it get compiled into the bios at install time? or do i have to use a config app to change the path of the bios to reflect? i changed it in the cfg file, but do i need to insert it?

No, it doesn't need to be injected. You can try editing the dashboard settings in the bottom of the cfg file so that IND will use it's own dash path instead of the dash path stored in dashboard.xbx.

I actually used the same setup, 1.4 Xbox, XBMC's default.xbe, and got the same results, although hearing that the other dashboards wont work, I'll save some time and skip them. Anyone know what the problem is?

i don't have a softmod so I think it has to do with the way it does the virtual drive.
