Xbox Chipped Devkit Issues
« on: May 16, 2006, 01:05:00 PM »

I use a 1.6 Xbox with Executer3 debug bios enabled and upgreded to devkit from XDKRecovery5849.6.exe.

After booted to xdk launcher Xbox Neighborhood cannot connect to xbox, however the IP settings are correct.
Ping does not respond at all.

But....
If I run any debug app using the Xdk launcher, eg. XDK Sample apps, the Xbox replies to the ping and Xbox Neighborhood starts connecting, retial debugging works, etc... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

If I quit the app and return to XDK Launcher, ping does not respond again...  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

It seems the Xdk launcher blocks the communication between the xbox and the PC.

IS there any known workaround for this issue?

Thanks, pals...

You're not supposed to use an XDK recovery program on a retail xbox! I'm surprised you didn't brick your xbox by doing that.

My only suggestion is to look through the files on your xbox for anything strange, and maybe post the contents of the E\devkit\err... whatever that file is in there that has the XDK IP settings.
