The XDK isn't in the usual places, which is why you can't find it.

i want to set up a debug dash on my box and i know theres like three bios's: IND BIOS-5003, Yoshiro Debug 1.6 512kb, x2_5035_v16plus_512k.  I know theres a few others but im looking for the most bug free and will work on a xenium ice on a v1.6

ive looked at the tuts and i was wondering if i can set it up as an alternate dash?

all the tuts are for earlier versions of the xdk i am getting the 5933, does anyone know how to set up this version

The only 1.6 bios is Yoshihiro's.  iND does not support Xcalibur video encoders.

ok well i guess i will flash the chip with a debug bios on one bank. is there any way to make the debug bios look in a different partition for the debug dash files?

I know you can set it up as a alternate dash if you use a software bios loader with a bfm bios; it may be possible that 5035 would be able to do this on a modchip but I haven't tried this myself.  If you are flashing your modchip any ol' bfm bios will not work, you will need a debug bios that uses the debug rc4 (if the bios has 'DVD player support' then it will not work because it is using the retail rc4 key); or a hacked debug bios such as 5035 would probably work with the xdk (haven't tested this one yet).  ..Like they said, you should probably be using Yoshiro Debug 1.6 if your using a 1.6 box.

Using WinRAR, extract the XDKRecovery tool files somewhere (do not run the Recovery!).  When asked, overwrite all files in destination folder (there are different versions of the same file in the XDKRecovery file)

Installing XDK files to your XBox:

Source_________Destination_____Files to copy / Notes
\XDASH_________\C\_____________xshell.xbe only
\XDASH\data_____\C\data__________All files
\XDASH\images___\C\images_______All files
\XDASH\media____\C\media________All files
\XDASH\sounds___\C\sounds________All files
\XBOX___________\E\_____________dashboard.xbx and xbdm.dll

Optional Files..
\DEVKIT_________\E\DEVKIT_________Audio & Certification tools
\XDKSAMPLES____\C\XDKSAMPLES____Sample Code
\TDATA__________\E\TDATA_________Sample Audio Soundtracks

Usual Places..
cdrive.dxt or fdrive.dxt go in \E\DEVKIT\dxt\ if you want to add C or F drive support to Xbox Neighborhood or XDK Launcher (does not show up on real debug bios's but works on software bfm bios's, might work with 5035 -again havent tested).  Note: You can use Xbox Neighborhood to launch xbe's from your PC, these dxt files will add support to Xbox Neighborhood regardless of your bios.

Installing on PC:
Run the SDK Setup.  When finished: start - all programs - SDK - establish shell extentions to enable Xbox Neighborhood.

/xe/dashboard.xbx (open in notepad, Partition1 is E, Partition2 is C)
