Xdk Problem

I have a real XDK.I tried to use the Hack-devkit-GueuX-V2.Did everything
it said.I put the GueuX-E-drive-Volume-B.DXT in DXT directory in partition E.
Then I opened up xbox neighborhood,saw volume b and put xboxrom.bin in there.
I rebooted and got error 16-dashboard error.What are my choices.
I do not have the HDD password,but I do have a backup of the C and E file.
And also have a backup of the eeprom.Can I install a chip and install a
new HDD.I should of wrote down the HDD password.
Any help would be nice.

Stick in a Recovery disc and follow the instructions on the screen, I'd suggest using the latest recovery disc you have available to you... If you don't want to "lose" the data on your HD, just stick in the disc and let it sit there at the first screen, xbExplorer will function and you could delete the erroneous bios file if you use a file manager program copied to the hard drive like boXplorer.

Thanks for the info LtRipley36706.I do not have a recovery dics.Can it be
acquired easy.The person I got the XDK from can get me the all the dics
it came with the XDK.Good thing I put boXplorer on the HDD.

Real quick question.Should I leave the XDK plugged in incase of a clockloop.
Still looking for the recover disc.Hope I can find it.

You don't need to press enter every time after a line, your browser will solve that automagically. And it will fix your XDK, that's why it's called recovery disc.

whoa whoa whoa, you do not need the recovery disc, you just need to have a dash of some kind (besides xshell.xbe) on the root of your c drive.  Just upload evox to your c drive and name it xboxdash.xbe and you'll be fine.  You are trying to boot a hacked retail bios and it isn't finding a dash, that is all, there is no other problem.

I did use the recovery disc,cause I have a real XDK.The disc worked perfect.
