Couple Questions That Need Clarity

Okay so I've managed to make my way as far as getting the XDK Launcher on my box and working, as well on the PC. Now correct me if I am wrong on anything please.

Pretty much, Besides whats obvious on the PC Development Side once XDK is installed.. .(Authorization Tools, Etc..)

What can I use it for ? Screen/Movie Capture and reboot seem the only apparent features.

Next I have Visual C++ 6.0 but not Visual Studio, this pretty much limits what I can do right ?

Once Visual Studio is installed I guess my journey is complete.
