is it possible to enable the xbox to recognize usb memory keys as a HDD rather then a memcard when plugged in?

not exactly, however if you're interested in running an app off of a dongle, I've always wondered about this.  http://www.xbox-linu...g/docs/xbe.html lists one of the possible media types for an XBE to be

#define XBEIMAGE_MEDIA_TYPE_DONGLE              0x00000100

anyone know if you can get usb keys to be executable on insert?

the dongle they are referring to is the dvd player that the MS dash uses, not exactly sure how it all works though.
