and maybe even bittorrent.. but focus lies on making the xbox a good tv webbrowser..

ive tried surfing on linux and its irritating.. not really readable, scrolling pain in the *ss etc etc..

if you could modify the browsing/emailing/chatting experience to tv standards for instance  getting rid of unwanted screenspace by mapping back forward and home buttons to buttons on the controller and scrolling to the controller.. and making the text bigger and thicker etc.. so there would be a minimum of hassle to configure it and use it..  (think of xbmc which is a piece of genius programming as far as i can see it..)

greetz,

linksbox supports a real keyboard, and mouse as well, I believe.

ive noticed..

linksboks is almost what i thought of the browser part.. allthough the mapping of the controller could be tweaked.. but the other parts like  a irc client mail client and some rudimentary music player.. stuff like that.. all packed into one.. so you can "multi task" those things instead of only browsing..

ehm.. the whole point is not using a pc.. or linux as linux tends to irritate me..(unreadable)

also its just an idea i have.. ofcourse its what i want.. but its not like im asking: "give me a xbox program that does a b AND c" its just an idea..

and since i cant program may be a programmer would say.. you know what thats a good idea to group all those internet functions into one so you can surf without linux but with an xbox, and without any hassle..

and maybe go and program.. and if im lucky contact me so we can share ideas about it..

Next version of Linksboks will be a library so those interested will be able to put it in whatever they want with ease.
Input would still be handled by the "host" app and passed to the library through an "abstact" API (scroll down, left click and so on), that way mappings could be customized.
