Can't Remove A File From Hdd In Xlinux
« on: August 28, 2004, 05:24:00 PM »

This seems like the best place to post this.  I would really appreciate some help on this one.  Im trying to delete xboxdash.xbe from one of my HD's in xlinux.  For some reason, I can delete everything else but that file.  If I use the ls command, it shows it there but if I try to rm it it says no such directory or file.  Can someone please help me with this?

Thanks

Best place would be "Utilities that run on your PC" section cos what exactly are you developing (this is forum is called "development")?

Anyway, xlinux is old and uses outdated FatX drivers. Use xboxhdm. I managed to corrupt my fs once (also undeleteable files) while using tools like xlinux and a simple format solved it all. Make sure you have a backup ready.

edit:
oh yeah great cross-post. Remind me of not helping out crossposters next time.

Im sorry fghjj but I figured since you guys are developers, you would know how to fix stuff like this.  I appreciate you telling me how to fix this problem though.
