X-box Debug Kit Help
« on: July 26, 2004, 07:58:00 AM »

If it is a real debug kit then no you cannot paly real games on it and no you cannot modify it.

I am 90% sure of this, if I am wrong I'm sure someone will quickly correct me.

Edit: Apparently I was wrong.

go to team gueux's website (www.gueux.net) and look for something called "Hack devkit GueuX V2". I've never tried it myself since I don't have a real debug kit.

its on the xbins bios section also.

Just to say that it works perfectly but you will need to remove / rename the file if you want to use the debug kit to actually do some debugging. AFAIK

If you dont want to do dev work or debugging, dont buy a debug kit unless its for collection purposes, it can be a real pain in the ass if you dont know what your doing. NEVER flash the bios with any bios out there as its not going to help, and will probably fuck it up.

No need to flash your Xbox, it become again original once you don't need more this hack.
Just delete it from FTP.

Here is a bios to hack only debug Kit and Devkit........
With it you can run all no signed xbe and your games backup.

How to use it. Very simple, you just need official MS XDK and Visual Studio 6, 7 ou .NET.
You must have to configure your Xbox IP and have access to your E/ from Neightborhood.
Next, you must see DXT directory in partition E. Juste put GueuX-E-drive-Volume-B.DXT file in this
DXT directory. Reboot your Xbox. Open Neightborhood and you must see "Volume B:" in the root.
Open it and put xboxrom.bin.
Enjoy.

Is it so easy as i read.

I Only have to install my Visual Studio 7 and install my XDK.

Then connect over the XDK Neighborhood to the BOX and copy the:
GueuX-E-drive-Volume-B.DXT  over to Drive E:

Then i see a Volume B:

There i copy the:  xboxrom.bin   in.

Then Just Reboot. And thats it?

Can i then Place a Backup of my Games into the DVD Rom and Play it?
Or did i have to do anything else?

Thx for your Support smile.gif

I hope you can answer my Question smile.gif
