General Questions

I recently was thinking about installing XDK but wondered some bit.... i skimmed some of the tutoral converting your xbox to debug... but in some quick questions i had i think a veteran could answer them better direct.... Ok so xdk has been installed, whats next ? Also whats the difference in VC++ and VS.NET it seems ive read both can be used on xbox programming

Feel free to try and get VC++ working. Let us know how it works out.

As it happens, the XDK has a C++ compiler in it (command line), but has always required a Visual Studio at the professional level to be installed. Ask M$ for the details, as none of us are privvy to their decision-making processes.

hey thanks for the reply, as i get your the guy behind mxm right ? thats awesome... have you ever played or used this gaming modem back in the day called xband ? just wondering, im trying to create a tunneling program similar to that that will allow you to play and link up on school games emus. and keep track of stats... any how hit me back !! peace

I will mention that M$ has released some new Visual Studio "Express" packages... but as I said, the XDKs are pretty strict about what's required to install (Theoretically, there should be no reason why it couldn't install over the base level VC++ setup, but the install checks things out.

Well, as soon as I straighten out the internet connection stuff that's currently in MXM's ActionScript (The WIP version), the ActionScripters will be able to access XLink Kai without too much difficulty.
