File Sharing On Xbox? A Possibility?
« on: July 21, 2004, 07:21:00 PM »

I'm sure there are a fair few open source file sharing applications out there on the web. You could port one.

Its most likely come up in peoples minds before, but in the end it will lead to more piracy, making it easier for people (including "noobs") to download games... or movies/music to play on xbmc. To be honest I don't think its a good idea. I'll be honest and say Id probably use it if it was made, but I dont think its a good things for the community.

Like I said... if you want it, port it.

this will undoublty lead to piracy because that's about all the good kazaa is used for. people can deny it but they know that file sharing is used majorly for pirating .

oh don't start bumping this thread.  If you don't want to take the time to learn how to do it with your already available tools (see: kazaa k++ / wine / linux) or try to get the bittorrent script working properly for xbmc, don't start requesting that a developer take the time to hold your hand through it.

WTF is up with all the piracy talk?  Cant you either buy/rent or actually go SEE the movies in the theaters?  Or do the same with games?  Get rid of your XBox if you want to see movies so bad but dont have the money to.  Or sell your PC and turn off your internet connection so you can afford it.  Please close this thread mods, as the thread starter CLEARLY wants to use such an app to pirate material with and as we all know, this sort of thing can not and should not be discussed on the boards here.
