i can only see this as usueful, if you were able to have voice convos with the xb live headset. it would be annoying to get a keyboard out just to talk to some1.

it would also be pointless as you really can't multi-task on the xbox. you start up an IM program and then what? "oh sorry, i have to go, my xbox has better uses"

seems kinda pointless

Hrm?

Launch an AIM client from the Dash? Why? You can't exactly multitask on the XBox. Why port something like GAIM when you can run in via Linux, and frankly, messaging just works better on a PC where you can Alt+Tab between windows.

My wife and I keep a laptop down on the table infront of the TV. That's true multi-tasking!
