Actually, there are plenty of subtle differences that would just be too much bother to fiddle with to recreate (i.e. you really would have to go through painstaking steps to photoshop the differences).

The only similarity I see is the angle at which the Xbox is viewed.

It's very possible it's a render of the Xbox, it appears that way to me. If I was in a 3DSMAX mood, I could probably knock a model of the Xbox out in short order (I used to be very proficient back in my 3D Studio days), so this is hardly unbelievable.
