OLD POST:
I am working on a program made with VB .NET that is a compliation of the info people need to know about xbox modding. I have started on the base program but i need at least 1 additional programmer because i just upgraded to VB .NET and am a little slow programming it.....

meh.... you have to dim forms in .net.. at least to my knowledge....  dry.gif
-----------------------
VB .NET:
Dim FormAbout As New Form2()   <-----Form2=Form2.vb
FormAbout.show                 <--- too much extra crap
FormAbout.activate
-----------------------
VB 6:
FormAbout.show
-----------------------
once the base program is written, i will get permission from the people who wrote the tutorial i will decide upon using to use them in the program.....

Please PM me or post here if you are interested... Anyone with beginning to moderate knowledge is good....

PS: Yes, I did get this idea from a thread about a stupid person selling a program like this for money and taking ppl's tutorials without permission.....

Hmm... your link doesn't work, and unless I'm missing something, your project sounds an overkill HOWTO.  Go for it.  ;)

Hey man, if you do this in VB6, imo it would be easier (plus i could help) I do have vs.net (Yes legally(college wink.gif )) but i agree, it is different than VB6

btw, im fairly good with VB6

Hope i can help ya out

P.S. I though of doing this the other day, one way you could do it is get the actual tutorial from the site, else, I think you might have to start typing a lot of info in...

does this make any sense.... time for sleep tongue.gif  blink.gif  sleeping.gif

Edit: made my own...maybe we can come up with some more ideas, i thought up an "Update" feature...we could hook the program up to a database so when they click update, they can get new tutorials... anywways here it is

I think that storing the tutorials manually would be a better idea.... not sure if they should be hard coded as a few variables or put in a xml file...

downlaoding tutorials from xbox-scene would use up their bandwidth... anyone remember the rather recent AllXboxSkins Downloader?

If you want to make easy updates, the tutorials should definitely not be stored in variables.  I'm still puzzled about the need for tutorial program when an HTML or PDF file will work the same or better.
