Turn Of Video Encoder
« on: March 19, 2004, 10:32:00 AM »

I'm looking for a way to turn of the video encoder to have it stop sending out a video signal. This is cause I have multiple devices conncted to my tv by scart connection. My xbox is the only one using RGB.

The problem with this is that my tv automaticly switches over to this device and it has priority over all other devices. Most other scart devices have a way of turning of their output to allow other devices to work.

Now i'm looking for code to implement this functionality in XBMC. I haven't found any docs on the subject. One way that maybe could work is communicating with the video encoder over the smbus, but i havn't seen any docs on what type of commands it would accept. Anybody have an idea?

Best Regards

Can you not just use a scart switchbox?
