MS Visual C++ .NET (or some other component of MS Visual Studio .NET) is currently running. You must shut down this program before setup can continue.

I have Visual C++ .NET 7.0 (2002). I am pretty sure there are no running processes of any Visual Studio component. I have reinstalled Visual C++ .NET once and it still does not work. If I uninstall Visual C++ .NET, I can run the XDK setup program and install the part of the XDK that does not require Visual C++ .NET. I'd appreciate any help anyone could give on the subject.
