hi,

i cant belive it 118 tsop flashes... non went wrong

then stupid me puts a xdk recovery cd in a messed up a xbox


need some help please

as soon as i turn the xbox on i get a red flashing led

it doesnt even try to boot cd

anyone got a way out of this

Dumbass... your Xbox is dead, I don't think you can fix it. Maybe with a mod-chip but I don't know the details.

Why do people do dumb things like this?

Good luck getting it fixed, but people are repeatedly warned about this time and time again.

You should not even MAKE a recovery disc!!! It's like keeping a loaded gun in the toy cabinet.

buy a lpc mod and flash it with the cromwell bios that allows you flash the eeprom from cdrw once you have fixed the eeprom with that cromwell bios and a backup eeprom cd flash the mod chip again with a hacked bios and it should be back from the dead

just banged a mode in it with a debug bios and flashed the eeprom

easy as a..b...c

p.s   we all make STUPID mistakes from time to time

Well, that's why I say never even MAKE a recovery disc. It's like making a bomb for no particular reason - you certainly do not need one - then accidentally hitting the trigger button. It's just a bad idea on may levels.

At least you were able to recover.... many people have locked drives and never bother saving their EEPROM images. That's a bad combination.

:( you can call my stupid all you want... but i used the recov disc also... and i did manage to get the cromwell bios to work... and then flashed it with the bios i put on a cd... the only problem i am having now is the box is really flaky... i try and put a differen't bios on the chip and it won't boot... its driving me nuts here... now i really know why curiosity killed the cat  :( .... now one good thing i did manage to do was get evox to boot then i unlocked my drive wooo.... but i just wish i it wasn't so flaky... is there something else that i can try... what did this actually do... i know it cleared my bios but did it do it on my motherboard as well? ... and if so how can i fix this...

You need to fix your EEPROM. Cromwell and DEbug BIOSes do not require the EEPROM to be valid, but "regular" BIOSes do.

The recovery disc must have blown it away.

now i know this is really pathetic of me to ask all this but is there anyone i can send this to to help me.. someone with more knowledge? some one that can help me... i've been freaking out about this for a while now

Can't really do anything about it, if you didn't keep a backup of your original eeprom.
