no, there is no debug bios that supports the focus encoder.

Sorry if this might sound stupid, but can I install just VS.NET / XBOX SDK to compile existing .CVS ( like XBMC, LINKSBOKS, etc )  WITHOUT having to install anything on my retail XBOX ?

I just want to be able to compile the freely available .CVS - I don't plan on programming anything myself for the XBOX.

Just for information.  I ran the recovery on my retail box.  The actual recovery****.exe won't hurt your box unless you already have the xdk installed and working on it.  The only thing it does to screw up your xbox is blank the eeprom.  THIS IS RECOVERABLE.  It is a bit tough to overcome, but with a modchip, a debug bios, and an eeprom editor, (as well as a copy of your original eeprom in bin format) you can recover your retail box.  I got bored one day and did this.  Ruined and fixed my box in the same day  laugh.gif

Wow, that is pretty limited, you can't boot Halo using your tutorial can you?  I can choose which BIOS I want to load before I boot to any dash.

my tutorial I believe explains things a little better than the other tutorials currently on the site. And you know you can't play halo on a bios bigger than 256K right?
