Too many people say somethings not possible simply cause their own opinion or lack thereof enough knowledge and make there own judgement saying thats the fact.
I'm not saying anyone's wrong here on this matter, just saying i've proven many wrong about a few things personally and know it happens.
Now that i've said that, and the reason why is cause this topic very much interests me and looks like fun. Just for any sake of arguing, since i'm not trying to start anything here, but simply think this is rather a fun, interesting topic that hopefully can get the right minds and see if for sure it's not possible. I speak of this since unless people here are experts in exactly how xblive works, and the programming code inside the .xbe file works, couldn't it be possible to modify the code itself to point to another port, or even choose other methods of ip address's (different server ip's)

? And answers with "the code can't be modified", as i think tHC's dashboard (nice dash) is a perfect example, which is based off of/modified from MS original dash, is proof that code can easily (don't take THAT the wrong way please) be modified and still work perfectly well. So why couldn't that be modified as well to point to different address's or maybe ports?

??
Yeah, i know, don't flame me as i don't claim to be an expert or anything on this. As I said, i just think this is a very interesting topic post that i've also been thinking about for quite some time now, and had idea's on the possibilities of how it may work, as well as the mature (mostly), intelligent, positive people on this forum that are mostly on the same side, and i'm sure are also as well excited to see something like this happen some day if we can find a way that might actually work???
Some have said the same thing about 'System link' back when, breaking up the wired data and sending it through the internet and reconverting to other units with no error's or crashes (mostly never) and yet we have Kai and XBConnect that work just fine. So i personally would hate to just think we would just say "Can't happen" and not even REALLY take the time to explore ALL possibilities?
MS themselves are using pc servers to accomplish this, so that portion is already possible. Just the remaining is on the files on the xbox that could/should be looked at and go from there.
For those out there that are experts on this (mostly the programmers of hacked MS dash's, and homebrew stuff related), and know all about this aspects, and think i'm just wasting my breath, and it's FOR SURE, FOR A FACT not possible and never will be, well that just sucks big time and i guess we'll still have the System Link games to enjoy, but hopefully that's not the case, and somewill will eventually figure out a workable solution to make this happen. I'm just trying to be very optimistic about this. I think what ive stated seems theoretically possible at least, don't you? Well, enough drinking for me (and such) for now, just really mindstorming i guess on a great idea/subject. That's it for me.
