Does Anyone Have Working Files..
« on: July 23, 2003, 12:52:00 PM »

Ok, does anyone have the necceracy files to get just the EVOLUTIONX tab in the ms dash, no sub menus or anything, alls i want it a tab that says EVOLUTIONX and then links to evox dash, thanks. i have tried tutrails and all that, i even tried that WinXap, but when i finally got it to load and not have an error, it looked all small and shit, it was wierd. anyway thanks, if u already have the right files it would be alot easier, thanks.

also could u tell me what dash version ur using so i can install the right one, to get it to work, thanks!

unsure.gif  It's a very cool project, though, even if it seems to be very involving.

Ah well...

wink.gif and no offense dude - but for once could you post something without referring to mxm. neat concept - but i'll wager my fiancee's ring that it rounds out the bottom of the main use dashboards in existence to date. maybe you should branch into different directions - variety is the spice of life they say (your alter ego will attest to that lol). that being said - the only thing not possible with the ms dash as of this second - is dongle free dvd playback, ftp support, and an autolisting of xbe's on your system - yes i even got the audiovisualizer working so there is plenty of fun to be had there wink.gif
so to sum it up... regulater7 - either pm me here or find me on efnet always idle in #modchip and #xboxdash and i'll help ya out

ps - when i do release it in the "usual places" it will be packed in an xbox live installer like the linux package so it can be installed/removed at the press of a button with full progress indicators wink.gif

A "Media X Menu" (MXM) tab would be much better....

I've stated before, enhancements to the Dashboard shouldn't be too hard, but I've yet to see a complete set in "The Usual Places" that just has 'standard' tabs to launch 1 or 2 alternate dashboards and run the DVD with or without the dongle.

Not one to keep from tooting your own horn I see?

If it's not too hard like you say everything is BenJeremy, then by all means do it.

Well, considering how many people use Evo-X without EVER trying another dashboard, I have to shamelessly promote it sometimes.

As for doing it myself, if I had time, I certainly would. When I'm at home, with access to my Xbox, MXM development and  family take precendent over everything else (not necessarily in that order). Finding time for anything else is pretty hard (I've played on the Xbox for maybe 2 hours inthe last two months).

I didn't know MXM was a dashboard. I thought it was a menu system for multi-game DVD.

I'll go check it out I guess now... maybe missing something.

But there better not be any Luigi Ron Jeremys poppin up on the screen! (BJ... that avatar really has to go wink.gif )

Wait till you get a load of the guys who will be joining my team....

I was thinking of calling the team "Team Pr0nolicious"

The first new members would be Rich Diggler and Jim Holmes.  biggrin.gif

Yeah, MXM has been a dashboard for some time... full FTP Server (with PASV support) and many useful features, with more all the time. It will soon have BIOS flashing and partition formatting, as well as a BASIC compatible scripting engine.
