There's already a very nice skin built for Media X Menu using the M$ Dashboard screen...

Download MXM 0.9n.1, head over to allxboxskins.com, and check it out first hand. (If you haven't seen MXM, look at the video linked in my signature "Watch!")

You really have to see it in action in MXM before deciding how to implement it for other apps.

Easiest thing i can think of is if you have a video capture card in your comp that you could take a pic of it and then edit it.

hope you got the author of that backgrounds permission.... I recognize that image from somewhere, can't put my finger on where, but its a blatent breach of copyright.
