Remote debugging, that's what makes it nice.
And then you can take screen shots in game, that's just an added perk.

Does debug work on a v1.1 system. I've tried installing it but I can never find the debug dash so I couldn't figure out if it works on a v1.1 system.

only if you use our TATX bios.. That is a Dual (v1.0 and v1.1) Bios..

There are two TATX BIOSes, one with VGA output, one without.
