yes, but right now, only with the samsung xbox drive => samsung 616t or 616f drives. This requires a re-flash of the firmware, and some minow hardware modifications. In depth info can be found on the xboxhacker.net forums, as this is where this was discovered.

i wonder if there are any retailers selling drives like that now. it would be very interesting to see how much they go for.

Here's a little treat for everyone, I found the Samsung 16x48 IDE - Black bezel Dvd Drive for kinda cheap, and its in Black.
