I downloaded the new Avalaunch dash....uploaded the xbe to my box and renamed my evox dash to something else and then renamed the avalaunch to xboxdash.xbe. Standard procedure....then i reboot my box and the flubber animation starts and 1 or 2 seconds into it freezes and the sound skips out. I start it up again and it gets a little farther in the animation b4 freezes again. I repeated this again and again, getting a little farther each time. Finally i got it to the point where the dahsboard should load but it never leaves the Xbox logo, just sits there. When i turned off my modchip off i get error 16, no dash. SO now i can't even ftp in to fix this....anybody ever had this happen or know why it's happening or any possible solutions? Thanx!

what bios are you running? - the flubber animation sounds like a wierd bios problem, not a hardrive issue.

Try renaming it to evoxdash.xbe, see what that does.

i've got an executer 1 so it's the executer 1 bios (duh), so it doesn't work unless it's named xboxdash.xbe which is what i named it.

Just boot evolutionx from a cdrw. No problem.

Assuming you did nothing wrong, it probably happened because it's an application thats in it's first alpha release. There are bound be some issues.

You should post your problem to that big Avalaunch thread in the Development section since they asked people to report bugs there.

Wow. good to know. I got an xecutor 1 too. Man...we need really need a flashing device for our modchip. or even some sort of piggy back device like that new matrix.

it has now been patched

you only freeze on the blubber if you have a bad dashboard file or your bios is not able to boot the code in the xboxdash.xbe
