Alot of Opensource games would be cool to port. Freecraft, Super Methane Brothers, Planeshift, Xbill (lightgun support, of course), TuxRacer, Nethack (graphical version... forgot its name), and a whole slew of others. The biggest roadblock, of course, is DirectX; most games mentioned use OpenGL if they use a graphics acceleration engine at all. It can't be that hard to write an OpenGL engine for the XBox, right? (I'm not a coder, so it's likely I'm wrong).

It'd be two and a half bitches to write an OpenGL engine (if at all possible), since the Xbox doesn't natively support it and the support comes from the drivers/chipset. It's uncertain if wrappers would work either...

Ok, that's why I said I was most likely wrong. smile.gif
I didn't want to make it sound like a request. I was just voicing my opinion... I don't honestly think anyone's gonna port it unless they really want to, or unless I did it. Please don't get mad at me, all ya devvers.

A valid point was made in another thread about such requests...if one wants something ported so badly, find the source code and try porting it yourself. Not all current devvers have the time or interest to port every freaking request. Plus, it'd give the programming n00bs the chance to learn about Xbox coding.

In other words kiddies...please leave poor lantus alone...
