already did some stuff about this
first of the all the map files are compressed (or something, encrypted orso)
when loading an level and restart your xbox and go back to evox
the cache files are left in the X partition
the files are larger and then contain some readable stuff
like "Picked up flamethrower" "Picked up energy sword" and many more
I even got some script out of the file
Check this file:
b30.txt it comes from the cached b30.map file
also at offset 0x00000040 every .map file contains the string "01.01.14.2342" wel for my PAL version at least
