How would I go about doing this? would it require extensive knowledge of a programming language? I'd like to make one for Dead to Rights, but I don't know where to start. Can anyone help me?

Bottom line: if you don't know how to go about to make a trainer, there is no way you are going to be able to make one.
i wouldnt say that. i knew nothing of xbox programming, and in a weekend i knew enough to draw some text on the screen and make it go back and forth on the screen in a sinus curve
i'd say its hard though. try looking at [sheep]'s tutorial on hacking games to allow saves at
http://xbox-saves.com
and if you dont get lost, look at the site of the group superfro is a member of. i forgot the name of it. they have alot of n64/xbox programming stuff on their site, and i beleive they're the crazynation people taht are training those games.

Sorry to break your illusions, but that is a far cry from being able to hack anything.
If you are not a programmer, then become one first.
If you are a programmer, then learn the relevant assembly language before attempting to hack anything.
If you know assembly language, then you can start spending time trying to hack something.
Who knows, after doing the latter for a year, maybe you'll be good at it.
