I found some pictures of a unreleased version of halo, im guessing it was the beta of the pal version, im not sure, many of you have probably seen similar pictures. Here it is here
if someone can find a good page translation that would be good, google wouldnt work for translating it.

This was the original plan for the game, third person shooter where everyone looked like mc. MS needed a good game so they bought bungie, forced them to write the game for xbox instead of pc and had the story line completely redone (it was just going to be a futuristic army game with a war on earth that was gonna suck balls)

There is not going to be a Halo 1.5.

Don't believe me? Check out Bungie's Rumor Control page.

Not true...

Halo was always designed to be similar to the Marathon games but independent of them (as it is on xbox).

Little of the plot was changed when it changed systems.

yes, it's not true, and since it's name was always Halo your theory is proved wrong. It ALWAYS took place on Halo.

Simply put: IT'S NOT AS EASY AS M$ WORD DUDE! (I'm guessing) you cant just copy and paste the special junk that looks interesting!! We can't release it because that is probably extremely illegal. It was just a hacked up xbe that was missing its header, which probably can't be reproduced, and it probably was removed for a reason.

that flamethrower looked familiar to me so I found my launch issue od the official australian xbox magazing and there is a nice big pic of MC with the flamethrower in his hands, roasting a big hunter.

it looks just like the flamethrower posted on the 1st page.

I gotta say it looks like a bloody cool weapon but i'm glad it isn't part of the retail version, it just wouldn't work especially in multiplayer games.
i'd LOVE to give it a whirl though!
