Sounds like you need boXplorer.

boXplorer will allow you to transfer files from any drive/location to another (including the DVD Drive). It is exactly what you need.

The newest version is 0.96 beta, I believe.

boxplorer cant read non xbox iso disks. it makes sence, but ftp is easier to me, heh.

Well since BoXplorer hasn't had an update for quite some time (hasn't even left the beta stages), I don't really care if they put it into XBMP. Infact, with the way they are building XBMP, it'll soon be the only program I need. But untill then.. . .

LOL, there was no subject except for a native app on the xbox that can copy non XBISO discs.  Pay attention.....and no, boXplorer will not copy ISO9660 discs.

what is it exactly that you want to do? copy CD's you already have to the xbox, or find an easier way to get content onto the xbox? If it is the later then I put together a little thing I call media loader. All you do is run a batch file. it makes a clean folder for you to put your files in. Then you run another file and it creates an xiso ready to burn with your files and evox. The evox on it has a menu options to copy the files to your hard drive, so basically all you have to do is this:

run the first batch file
copy the files you want into the folder
run the second batch file
Burn the cd-rw
boot to the cd-rw
select the option to copy files
take the cd-rw out
reboot...

That's it... That is as short and clean as I could make it. It was made specifically for copying media (audio, video, pics...). It was also made to work with the folder structure used in the loader I made called X-Loader... It could be modified pretty easily to what ever is needed. It is not a cure all for the problem but it makes it really easy for someone without a network to get files onto their xbox...

Right... I know what he "wants"... I also want a $50,000 custom chopper, but for now I guess my $6000 stock Yamaha will have to do. It does allow me to do what I want to do, just not with as much style as I would like... Anyway, what I asked was

The point being why is he wanting to use iso9660? Is it something to do with using a std burn specifically (because he wants to use existing cds or wants to use the same cd in a computer as well as the xbox?) or is it that he is just wanting a faster way to get the files onto the xbox?

I am not saying what he "wants" has no value... it would be great. But as far as I know there is nothing like that right now and what I have may suite his needs until someone does come out with a tool to do what he ultimately wants...

he prolly wants to copy svcds or the like to his hd without the hassle of using a computer.

Just start burning your cd's in UDF format. Your computer can read them just like it would a ISO9660 cd and your x-box will also read UDF disks with no problem at all. Just use nero and under UDF format select force DVD video compatability mode required for x-box TM.  Then just burn what ever you want to the cd and the x-box can read it.
I used to have problems creating xiso's and half the time the x-box wouldn't reconize it or would get ½way through coping from the cd and then can't read it, but I have never had a problem at all putting movies or games on the x-box when using UDF

Also Note UDF/ISO9660 will not work it has to be UDF only
