I dont have these, I dont know where to get them either, so dont ask..

if you get xdk 4627, you need Visual Studio 6 or at least Visual C++ 6.
edit: Enterprise or Professional edition is needed

Pro or Standard version of the Academic Edition? Kinda curious about this myself, tho I think the only difference between the Academic Edition and Retail version is the EULA and license...but I could be wrong...

i tried the academic version of visual studio 6 for xdk 4627 and it didn't work.
i also have the academic version of VS .NET but haven't installed 5344 yet.

any vs.net that includes VC7 will work with  XDK 5433


4627 is NOT .net compatible !

Student editions of the software dont let you compile to an .EXE so I doubt it would work unless you just use the VS as an IDE and not a compiler.

So the question comes back again - would/does it work?

If only I could find a place to buy it in the UK anyway. Only available in the US apparently. Bit of a disadvantage really...

wtf? of course the student edition lets you compile to exe, the only major difference is that there is no commercial license
