Complex Bioses? Can You Run Everything On Them...
« on: February 28, 2003, 01:01:00 PM »

Hello all...

I am just trying to get more info about the complex bioses... can anyone tell me if the complex bioses will run all of the things that one might run from X2 bioses? can you run evox, xbmp, games, other homebrew apps? or is there some restriction?

Also, is a complex bios all you need to be able to run the tools from the xdk such as the xbexplorer, xbcapture and so on?

If so is there one that is better than the others? I have an X2L in a 1.0 and would like to put complex in one bank and X2 4974 in the other and then use the complex to do screencaptures for tutorials, managed the box and things like that? but I have not used complex at all and I am not clear on which one might be best for my needs.

Thanks,
sdg

Complex 1.03 should run everything fine. It only has some issues with the very latest Evo-X dashboard (FTP issues, Evo-X bug) but works fine with the previous version.

The set up you suggested should be fine.

I run the regular M$ dashboard in debug, at the moment, so I've not tried out the other tools used in debugging.
