Thanks for the input everyone. We've decided to use potions and leave eating regular food as an option. About a working demo that we can post... it will be a few months until we have enough content to do something like that. We are spending a huge amount of time right now developing the storyboard. I'll keep you posted.
By the way, what do you think about allowing the player to recruit helpers on his quest. He would be limited to 3 other characters who would follow him around and help in combat. In effect, you would recruit other characters with diverse skills like maybe a healer, a marksman, and swordsman. We are also toying around with the idea of developing a mode where the player can plan out battle plans for each helper, or just let the AI automatically control the helpers. Tell me what you think.
