if you're running the complex bios you can give the files on that disc a try but do NOT just stick it in your xbox. (unless of course you dont mind it killing your eeprom and possibly putting a bios with a completely different rc4 key on)

what version?

Use the complex debug bios and dash release- It has a full environment ready to go for developing- If you decide to try and use the restore disc, you can get the thing up and running, although there are a few things missing. However, you cannot flash your mod/tsop with the ms debug rom - it checks for the extra ram you don't have- complex's debug bios will work and provide everything in the ms bios for you.
Your best bet is to:
- get the complex debug bios and dash combined release

- install the bios to the 1m mod or your tsop

- login to your xbox via ftp and erase all your c and e drives

- copy the complex release to the appropriate places

- rename c:/xboxdash.xbe to msxboxdash.xbe

- copy evox or whatever your default dash you want to use is to xboxdash.xbe (the bios does not support alternate booting)

- reboot xbox

- xshell.xbe will come up -the debug bios and one of the dll's on e: causes this alt boot -evox is still the primary dash however and can be accessed from xdk launcher (I use nexgen personally)

After this you'll have 2 ips for your xbox- press black button in the xdk launcher to see them- DIP is debug ip- for connecting to the debug file and debug services ANY time, not just while xdk launcher is up, and TIP title ip for connecting to the title ip -things like evox dash's ftp once its conencted. you'll notice that the drives xdk shows and the drives evox show are nto the same- this can be augmented with xdk extensions, but that's all optional.

Now you can install the SDK and XDK explorer extensions and set them to find whatever you named your xbox in the xdk launcher.
