ok, dude, that program statistics are bullshit!  a guy with a 600mhz pc gets 100x more packets done than someone with a 2.5ghz pc!  it's happening in my own home!  the cpu speed determines the type/length of the code it has to resolve.  it takes about 1.8 seconds to decypher something on my 600mhz pc, and about 20 minutes on my 2.4ghz.  that is bullshit.  it gives recognition to the wrong people, and may piss some people off so bad they'll stop using the program.

It's always been the same with distributed processing clients, or at least all of them that I've used so far.

Dude, just run the program and get the satisfaction that you are helping.  I'm not doing this to let everyone know I did more, I do it because I want to help out for the cause.

i knew some fucker was going to say this.  but if you have 3 high-end pc's going at it, and see that someone with ONE sub 1ghz pc is 10x higher than you, wouldn't it piss you off?

also, don't be a dumbass.  there are 5 xbox's to be given away.  if they are given to the people with the slowest pc's/least commitment, then i'd be vERY VERY pissed!

like i said, i have my 2 pc's.  one is 600mhz, the other is 2.4ghz.  my 600mhz one does between 100 to 300 every hour, but my 2.4ghz does only about 3.

fuck you.  there's a difference in getting packet sizes that take both computers the same amount of time, but if the 600mhz finishes about 500 pakcets in the time that the 2.4ghz finishes 1, something is messed up.  also, that way xbox-scene team will lose to xbox-connection.

and if it came down to it, sure, take 5 hours on the 600mhz.  why have the faster cpu's suffer???
