the Xbox check if a DVD inserted into drive is audio/data or video, I noticed that after I have replaced the original DVD drive with another one if I put a video disc the Xbox doesn't recognize it.
Ok, if I start the DVD RegionX 2 application, I can play the DVD video correctly but not if I use the original MS player (running the original dashboard), I got the error message "The disc is unknow or in bad format".
Well, I think the MS Dashboard doesn't try to play the DVD video because it check the "DVD State" and find it as "Unknow"
Is there any way to force the MS Dashboard to play DVD Video without check the disc state? I read that it could be possible manipulating the XIP files of the orginal dash. I have the dexip but how do I rebuild the xip after the modification ?
