First of all... DONT USE THE DEVKIT RECOVERY CD !!!!!
it WILL break your XBOX !!!! IF you have already done this, go here to get app to fix it:
[TEAM ASSEMBLY] Here are the steps to get debugging up and running.. and btw, you DONT need 128mb nor the Debug Dashboard....
1. Get OpenXBOX/PCBioxx or any other 512KB or bigger modchip
2. Install it and flash Complex 1.03 DEBUG (has to be debug version of bios)
3. Install the XBOX SDK (Dont ask where to get it, I dont know and I dont have it)
4. Get the XBDM.DLL file from sdk install directory SDK\xbox\symbols\latest
5. Put this XBDM.DLL file on your XBOX Drive E:
6. Create a Directory called Devkit on E:\
7. Create an .ini file called xbdm.ini in this new E:\Devkit directory, leave the file empty..
8. Reboot XBOX and it should get an IP address from DHCP, then connect to this IP in the Explorer Extentions and set it as you default xbox connection..
Now you can create a VS 6.0 XBOX Application project, specify a Remote executable path as XE:\Whatever\appname.xbe, then use this new dhcp IP for remote debugging.. (there are ways to specify a static IP in the .ini file, but i dont know how)
Oh, and the Complex 1.03 DEBUG will actually let you use all standard retail applications and games as well

Also please note: I havent done this myself, since I dont have the SDK, but i heard rumours that this might work
